CONDITIONING

Conditioning is done with the aim of improving one’s cardiovascular ability and muscular endurance. It plays a role in decreasing the risk of disease, increasing stamina, fitness, and strength, managing chronic conditions, and keeping your arteries healthy. Through conditioning, we can increase our work capacity. Our ability to produce effort for extended amounts of time, sustaining a certain quality and intensity, while also being able to recover properly between bouts of exercise or strenuous activities.

At Anchor Performance, we use many different types of conditioning to keep things interesting and fun while also highly effective. For the general population we use intervals, circuits, and change of direction exercises. With athletes or those with specific conditioning goals, we use similar forms of conditioning but a more sport-specific or goal-specific approach, making sure that the program is targeting their needs.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

I had the opportunity to have Liv as a strength & conditioning coach while I was playing basketball at San Diego State University … When working with Liv, he exemplified the meaning of dedication and commitment to making sure our bodies were in the best shape possible to play at a high level … He taught me so much about my body that I didn’t know before and I have implemented that into my everyday life … On top of that he is a great person and I believe that there has to be a deeper connection with the player and trainer to build trust, as well as a collaboration where you can communicate with them about any issues you have … Liv made me feel comfortable in all these areas and I couldn’t be more grateful to have had him throughout this part of my career!
